PROTECT YOUR DREAMS
Do you have a vision and a dream but feel like people in your life, don't believe in it? This person could be your close friend, family member or even yourself.
Well I've been in a season of understanding why it's important to protect my dreams.
This has been a very hard lesson for me to learn, if you know me, then you know I'm a very passionate person. Sometimes a little too passionate. Haha
There was a point in my life that I would share all my dreams and hearts desires with everyone because I was just so excited about what God was doing in me.
Only for it to leave me discouraged and feeling inadequate because not everyone understood my vision or believed in my dreams.
It might even be that your dream looks impossible?
That's okay because with God on your side, nothing is impossible!
He makes ways where there are no ways!
I say this because I've seen it first hand in my life and I know if he can do it for me , he can do it for you!
I just wanted to write this post today because I wanted to share a little bit about what's been going on in my life as I pursue what God has put on my heart.
I've learned to be careful who I share my dreams with.
Never share them with someone who will not understand or who does not support and encourage you.
Negative words have power. Don't allow and accept their negative words, thoughts and opinions of others to determine your future.
Also, make sure you are not sabotaging your own dreams and life with negative thoughts and words.
Be careful to not share them with someone who will just trample on them and not see the value.
The bible says,
Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, for they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
I've seen this scripture to be so true in my life, if we share our pearls with just anyone, then we give them the power to tear us down.
Honestly, Often times the people that don't believe in you or your dreams, don't believe in themselves so give them grace and bless them.
You have to be one who sees the bigger picture, to look beyond the surface and see what's really going on behind the scenes.
Today I just wanted to remind you to not lose your faith and hope, just because others don't see what you see.
Don't let insecurities and self doubt stop you from pursing what you love!
Keep chasing after those things that set your heart on fire!
There will be people that don't understand and that's okay!
There will be people that are not for you and that's okay!
Their will be thoughts of self doubt and that's okay!
Don't let anything stand in your way from what God has destined for YOU!
Go out and be bold and know that YOU can change the world because the God of the universe is on your side!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
"It’s the visionaries that change the world. The ones who are bold enough to chase their dreams, are the ones who shape the world."
Thank you for taking the time out to read about the season I've been in.
I hope it encourages someone else who might be going through this.
